Grouch & Co
We're a specialty small batch coffee roaster with a love for ethically sourced produce. We have a cafe in our Concept store which serves all manner of espresso & filter coffee. Coffee isn’t a beverage it’s a way of being, it’s our grouch life.
Welcome to Grouch & Co. We are specialty coffee roasters and wholesale coffee suppliers based in Perth, Western Australia.
Headed up by Big Boss Lady Renata Taylor, Grouch is about inclusivity and pushing the boundaries.
The art begins on our 12kg probat. we roast in small batches and then carefully create seasonal blends by combining like-minded single origins, no bulk blenders here! Our single origin offering rotates constantly keeping up with the freshest coffee available.
We hunt down coffee that excites and inspires us, only roasting specialty grade green. We only deal with green bean suppliers that are transparent and can provide a paper trail of everyone along the coffee chain, especially the farmers, being paid for their work. Because ain’t nobody got time for slavery!

Daniel Mark Hobbs took the path less travelled - having trained as a mechanical engineer, Daniel took a holiday to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2007 and never looked back.
Courtney Fry-
On my daily scrolling of Twitter during my lunch break, I came across something alarming. Like I’d stumbled upon some great state secret long held by Western Australia, activating my fight or flight response. Something called the “Long Mac Topped Up”, which is apparently a known and loved coffee order over on the west coast.
When you utter those two words—“topped up”, you engage in something more than a simple exchange of information. You effectively lay yourself in your barista’s hands.
Imagine that each time you spend your money, it makes a difference. It’s better for the planet, people, and of course, for you - because you get premium coffee. It’s right when they say that acts of goodness create a ripple effect, with no extra cost.
